BODY TREATMENT
A body treatment, spa treatment, or cosmetic treatment is non-medical
procedure to help the health of the body. It is often performed at a
resort, destination spa, day spa, beauty salon or School.
Body treatments are essentially a "facial" for your whole
body. It is just as important to cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate the
skin on your body as it is the skin of your face.
MASSAGE
Massage is the practice of applying structured or unstructured pressure,
tension, motion, or vibration — manually or with mechanical aids
— to the soft tissues of the body, including muscles, connective
tissue, tendons, ligaments, joints and lymphatic vessels, to achieve
a beneficial response. A form of therapy, massage can be applied to
parts of the body or successively to the whole body, to aid the process
of injury healing, relieve psychological stress, manage pain, and improve
circulation. Where massage is used for its physical and psychological
benefits, it may be termed "therapeutic massage" or manipulative
therapy.
Hot Stone Massage
- Hot stone massage is a specialty massage that uses smooth, heated
stones. They are often basalt, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and
retains heat well. It is a deeply soothing, relaxing form of massage.
The heat helps tight muscles release.
Swedish Massage
- The classic technique that relieves muscular aches and pains and achieves
a deep relaxation. The Swedish also helps to maintain muscle and soft
tissue at optimum efficiency.
- Swedish massage is designed to increase circulation and blood flow.Oil,
cream, or lotion is applied on the skin to reduce friction and allow
smooth strokes.
- It uses a firm but gentle pressue to improve the circulation, ease
muscle aches and tension, improve flexibility and create relaxation.
Shiatsu Massage
- Shiatsu is a pressure-point massage designed to regulate the flow
of life energy in the body. Pressure is applied by thumb, fingers, palms
or feet to the body's surface to stimulate healing of body and mind.
Shiatsu produces deep relaxation, increases energy levels, and brings
the body back to balance.
Reflexology
-Reflexology is a treatment where the therapist works primarily on your
feet. The theory behind reflexology is that there are "reflex points"
in the feet, hands and ears that relate to specific organs and glands
in the body. Practitioners believe that stimulating those reflex points
promotes health in that organ via the body's energetic pathways.
Deep Tissue Massage
-Deep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue
structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue.
Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as
Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It
is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release
chronic muscle tension or knots (also known as "adhesions.")
Cellulite Reduction
- The non-invasive treatment breaks down the fatty deposits that collect
between the skin and the muscle, while increasing the blood flow to
the affected areas, greatly reducing the appearance of cellulite.
Pregnancy (after 3 months)
- This soothing massage with essential oils is designed to focus on
relief of pregnancy related discomforts. Relax, reduce stress, increase
oxygen supply, and stimulate circulatory and lymph systems.
Sports Massage
- Sports massage is designed to help atheletes prepare their bodies
for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well
during training.
- Sports massage is also good for people with injuries, chronic pain
or restricted range of motion.
MAKEUP DESIGN
Make-up is an important aspect to improve an artists look on camera
or as part of the process to help create convincing characters that
tell a story on screen. Whatever the scale of production the make-up
team are responsible for making sure that all artists have an image
and make-up appropriate to the production content and individual need.
PARAFFIN TREATMENT
The paraffin treatment begins by submerging hands into a warm wax distributed
over the skin's surface. Hands are then covered until the form mimics
a silky glove of wax. Next, hands are placed in toweling mitts. During
this rest interval, the wax relaxes muscles and is allowed to deeply
penetrate pores promoting hydration. When all coverings are carefully
removed, hands are left supple and smooth.
Waxing
Waxing is a temporary method of hair removal, which removes the hair
from the root. New hairs will not grow back in the previously waxed
area for three to eight weeks. Almost any area of the body can be waxed,
including eyebrows, face, bikini area, legs, arms, back, abdomen and
feet.
Waxing is accomplished by spreading a wax combination thinly over the
skin. A cloth or paper strip is then pressed on the top and ripped off
with a quick movement against the direction of hair growth. This removes
the wax along with the hair and dead skin cells, leaving the skin smooth.
FACIAL
A facial deeply cleanses and maintains the skin by exfoliating dead
skin cells. The goal of a classic European facial is to maintain smooth,
clear, well-hydrated skin. It's the second most popular spa service
after massage.

THREADING
Threading is an ancient method of hair removal that is still used in
parts of the Middle and Far East. Thin, twisted cotton threads are rolled
over eyebrows, untidy hairlines, mustaches and so on, plucking the offending
hair. In Western countries, threading can still be found being performed
in beauty salons. Unlike other methods of hair removal such as plucking
or waxing, threading is much healthier for the skin and does not result
in ingrown hairs.
Practitioners use a pure cotton thread. They generally twist the hair
and threading pulls out a whole row of hair, as opposed to tweezing
where only one single hair is pulled out. Threading is often preferred
to tweezing because of the naturally straight lines of hair removed
by the thread. It is pulled out from the follicle. Some women focus
particularly on the area between the eyebrows [1], thus interrupting
so-called "unibrows". Side effects can include folliculitis,
a bacterial infection in the hair follicles, skin reddening or puffiness,
and changes in skin pigment.
SPECIALIZED SKIN CARE SOLUTIONS
Microdermabrasion
- Microdermabrasion is a mechanical form of exfoliation that uses a
powerful vacuum to spray microcrystals of aluminum dioxide across the
skin's surface. This procedure removes the outermost layer of skin cells
(part of the stratum corneum) and stimulates cell growth in the underlying
dermis.
- Microdermabrasion helps give a smoother, fresher appearance to the
skin. It is also used to diminish the appearance of sun damage, fine
lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, and coarse-textured skin
- Microdermabrasion is a skin-freshening technique that helps repair
facial skin that takes a beating from the sun and the effects of aging.
- This special exfoliation treatment polishes the skin, accelerates
cell renewal process, improving skin texture, reducing pore size, smoothing
fine lines, clearing and controlling acne, lightening pigmentation,
and reducing sun damage. The best results are achieved through a series
of treatments, followed with a recommended maintenance program.
Chemical Peels
- Chemical peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture
of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful
for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin
pigmentation.
- Formulated from active cosmeceutical ingredients including retinoic
acid, alpha hydroxy acids, and resorcinol, this is one of the safest,
strongest single session chemical peels available. This procedure provides
a safe peel with minimum “down time” and dramatic improvement
after the first treatment. Benefits include reduction of age spots,
freckles, hyper pigmentation and appearance of large pores. Due to active
ingredients, clients are advised that redness and peeling may occur
2-5 days after treatment.
PCA PEEL
- This peel is designed for the special needs of mature, ethnic and
sun-damaged skin. Effective for reducing appearance of age spots, acne
scars, fine lines, freckles, superficial hyper pigmentation, and pregnancy
related pigmentation.
Intensive Lifting Treatment
Pre & Post-Laser Treatments
Lasers are medical devices used to treat a variety of conditions, including
unwanted hair, uneven pigmentation, and broken capillaries. The word
laser is an acronym for "light amplification by stimulated emission
of radiation." Lasers use a direct beam of radiation that penetrates
the deeper level of the skin, called the dermis, and creates a reaction.
